BIO

For this new decade, one of the new voices of R&B will no doubt be that of singer Ebony Evans. Coming from a rich heritage of music, the Harlem, Georgia native is no stranger to the music industry. Ebony Evans was introduced to the world  by the Godfather of Soul, James Brown, and signed to his label at the age of 12 in 1992.  From performing at halftime for major league sports events to appearances on the national television show Star Search, Ebony Evans began developing her skills at a early age. Years later in 1999 Ebony Evans was a featured soloist on the Grammy nominated Georgia Mass Choir album: Georgia Mass Choir Present Youth For Christ: "Higher".

Finally in 2006 Ebony Evans released her critically acclaimed independent debut album "Luv's Fire". The albums original sound, reminiscent of the 'classic soul' sound of the 60's and 70's, provided a platform for what national and  international radio and magazine media called a "young lady whose name you will recognize for years to come".  Nominated for SEA Award R&B album of the year and was received instantly by radio and media in Europe, being licensed in several films and music documentaries from U.K. to Germany. " Luv's Fire" was both a critical success and a fans delight, featuring her radio chart topping single "Somebody Let Him Know" as well as the  remake of 70's Northern Soul artist Tearra and her hit single  "Loving You" .

The maturity Ebony Evans displays on her latest sophomore album "You Did It All"  is underscored by her remarkable versatility and cosmopolitan panache.  From the moment Ebony entered the studio to record "You Did It All", she knew that she wanted to unleash a sound that was soulful, yet melodic. Pretty, yet mature. Something different, yet something familiar enough to entice listeners. The first single, "Dance My Love With You" featuring Sultan Muhammed (SOS Band),  was a instant radio hit  and featured on the popular U.K. music compilation series Contemporary Soul Songbook Vol. 3. "You Did It All" also features  the  international dance hit " Just Because of You", and the ballad "Silent Running" named in  Radio Wave Monitor's  Top 25 year end Top  Urban A/C singles for 2011.  Ebony Evans  voice  connects with the songs  giving them substance and passion, with a  nostalgic  R&B sound. "I really enjoyed tapping into other topics on You Did It All", some of the challenging parts of relationships,  but still keeping the theme of positive relationship songs".

Ebony Evans is here to unleash songs with the  substance and passion, reminiscent of the 'golden years' of R&B. Her initial album releases prove she is here to make more than 'hit' singles, she wants classic pieces of work in her catalog . And these are just the beginning opening salvos from a singer who has elevated the stakes for modern day soul and R&B music.
